APPLICATION/WORK SESSION:
NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Ultimate Goal: Utilize research-based teaching strategies (i.e. Marzano, Blooms Taxonomy, Fountas and Pinnell, etc.)
- K-2 Guided Reading: see all students at least 2 times per week for each group as soon as possible
- 3-5 Guided Reading: see all students at least 1 time per week for each group
- Daily Fluency
- Monitor and document student progress
- Differentiate and present lesson to meet individual learning styles
- Standards and essential questions are incorporated throughout the lesson
- Designate daily intervention time (DUKE Time)
ESSENTIALS
- K-5 Daily 5/Centers/Stations
- Conference with students and set individual goals (i.e. AR Goals, Fluency Goals, Dominie Goals, 9 week grade, graph sight words, etc.)
- Instruction is interactive - modeling, demonstrating, guided practice
- Formative/summative assessments
