Starfall- The Starfall learn-to-read website is offered free as a public service. Primarily designed for first grade, Starfall.com is also useful for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and second grade. It includes stories to read, interactive games and activities, printable worksheets, and more.

Rodman Kids- This is the Alliance Rodman Library's webpage for kids. You will find a Games & Fun link as well as a link to Tumble Books where you will find a colloction of online books that you can listen to, or by switching to the manual mode you can read them yourself.

A+ Math- This web site was developed to help students improve their math skills interactively.

Holiday Links

Do you love The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg? If so, here is a website for you.
Polar Express- This site is really for the movie, but since the movie correlates so well with the book, the site provides enrichment for the book also. It takes some exploring to find all the fun activities. There is a lot there. At the boy's house you can build a snowman. In the Engine room - play concentration (see what happens when you lose!!!). You can download an activity book and print it out (inside the tunnel). On Ice Lake, use the snowflake generator then go to North Pole City and the square where you can watch a clip from the movie.

Learn about Christmas customs around the world by doing these Internet hunts. There are questions each followed by a link to a website where you can find the answer. This is great activity for the whole family!
