Levy Update

Good morning. If you drive around the district you will see that approximately seventy five Marlington levy signs are on display. I want to thank the property owners that allowed our levy committee to put these signs on their property. I also want to thank all the people that went out this past weekend and helped in this effort.

Any levy can have a range of emotions and this one is no different. We have some of our constituents that are opposed to the raising of their property taxes. Although I understand their concern, because of the Ohio funding formula we are forced to go back and ask for a tax increase. We have tried to stay as frugal as possible and have not received new monies since 2003. As we enter the home stretch of this campaign I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has come out in support of this effort. Hopefully all your effort and time will pay off for our kids!
