January Updates

* Congratulations to Christian Vasu who won the spelling bee! Aubyn Boyce was runner-up. All of the candidates did a great job!

* Our scrapbook fundraiser for amp units for the classrooms is nearing. These units will assist students in hearing instructions from anywhere in the classroom. They run about $1,000 each. PO has purchased 4 units and this fundraiser will assist in purchasing more. Our goal is for all of our classrooms to have one. If you do not scrapbook but can make a financial donation, then we would appreciate it.

December Is Here!

Wow! The year is flying by fast. December is a very busy month at Washington with a number of our great Christmas programs. We are looking forward to them. Also, we will have another midterm this month as we will be half way through our 2nd 9 weeks soon.
* PTO will be offering a "penguine patch" opportunity to students who would like to shop for items for Christmas. That will be located at the end of the hallway by the pre-school.
* PTO provided dinner for the staff on parent/teacher conference nights. Thanks! We appreciate it.
*The weather will be changing quickly so please make sure that the kids have coats/boots/hats and gloves. We go outside until the temperature is 20 degrees or less. Also, we do not keep students in from recess unless there is a doctor's excuse.
