Ms. Hart

Welcome to MMS Title! I am one of the two Reading and Math Title Tutors here at MMS. This is my first year as a teacher, but second year at Marlington. Last year, I was a student teacher and a long-term substitute for 7th Grade Language Arts. I am also the Student Council advisor. I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education.  My hobbies I enjoy are reading, going to farm and flea markets, crafting on my Cricut, and spending time with my family!

This year we will be focusing on Reading/Language Arts curriculum.  I will be working with all Marlington Middle School students in Reading/Language Arts classes as the need arises for each student.  This may be in a literature circle group, small groups reteaching a skill, or even working with the ELA teacher as a whole group.  I will be tracking all students in fluency at the middle school. The NWEA MAP Skills tutoring program will be used with students who qualify.  I welcome family involvement and hope to meet with each family throughout the year.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.  I will post updates and Title information in Schoology and the website.

Thank you!

Ms. Hart

                                                   Fall Reading Title News

We are fortunate to have the NWEA MAP SKILLS program at MMS again this year. Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who need extra help in getting their STATE AIR TEST scores up or improving on their NWEA MAPS Assessment scores are currently working on a computer based tutoring program. They work individually during their assigned time with me on the MAP Skills program.

The program consists of any Reading/ Language Arts and Math skill levels from Kindergarten up to 8th grade in which a student may need to learn a skill or have extra practice in order to master it.

8th grade students will be working on Literature Circle groups soon and will start the fall fluency.

7th grade will be working in Literature Circle groups soon and will start the fall fluency.

6th grade students will be working on the fall fluency this month.

All students may have extra help in ELA and Math classroom when needed since we are a Title wide building.

Any questions or concerns, please contact me at [email protected] or 330-823-7566.
