Welcome to First Grade!

Mrs. DiRuzza

My name is Clarice DiRuzza. I love teaching and am excited to teach this year’s firsties. This is my fourth year at Marlboro and am so happy to be here.  I am super excited to share my love of all things ocean, and share my favorite author, Mem Fox. I am married to Steve (almost 40 years) and we have 5 kids. All of them graduated from Marlington and range in age from 21 to 37. 

Our family dog’s name is Summer. 

She loves cheese and peanut butter.

This is my 30^th year of teaching. I graduated from Massillon Washington High School and continued my education at Kent State University. My classroom theme is ocean because I’m crazy about ocean animals! My favorite is the sea turtle.

 I love being outside gardening and taking walks. Inside, my favorite hobbies are playing the piano, reading, and cooking (especially Italian food and desserts). My favorite color is red, favorite food is manicotti, favorite drink is coffee, favorite candy is Hot Tamales, and favorite vacation is at the beach. My dream trip would be to visit both Scotland and Italy.
