SUMMER SCHOOL (Courses for Credit Recovery)
Summer school is available to all students who have failed a course and are not on track for graduation.
Freshman & Sophomores: Summer school is mandatory for any 9th or 10th grade student that failed a Math and/or English course. Students who do not complete summer school will be required to retake the course in the 2021-2022 school year. No more than four unexcused absences will be permitted otherwise the student will be dismissed from the program and put back into the course in the fall.
Cost: No cost
Freshmen and Sophomores also have the option to take credit recovery.
Junior & Seniors: Students who are credit deficient have the option to take credit recovery.
Cost: $50 (They will be added to your student’s school fees)
Registration needs to be completed by June 7th. Fill out this google form to register.
Dates: June 14th-July 30th (No classes July 5-8)
You are required to attend every day until your course is completed.
*Breakfast and lunch will be provided to students and transportation is available if needed
ONLINE COURSES: (Online Summer Courses for Initial Credit)
If you are interested in taking Physical Education, Health or Information Technology courses online over the summer you will need to complete the following steps:
Sign up with Mrs. Goodwin in the High School Guidance Office OR fill out the Google Form. To secure your spot in the course you will need to pay the $100 course fee.
It is your student’s responsibility to meet with Ms. Stanley before summer begins to go through a tutorial on how to log in and operate the summer course.
Students will need to stop down to the DLZ to see Ms. Stanley the week of May 17-21st or email her [email protected]
It is your student’s responsibility to log in frequently and keep track of assignment due dates, communicate any questions with the teacher, etc.
Dates: June 14th- July 30th
Cost: $100.00 (must be paid in full to secure spot)
Please keep in mind:
If your student does not complete the entire summer course, they will not receive credit and an “F” will show on their high school transcript.
