If you are reading this, it means that we have had 5 or more snow/calamity days:) On the 6th day we have off, you will do the 1st assignment. If we have more days off...then the next...and so on. *These assignments are the same for the 7th, and 8th grade choir classes. 6th grade has a different assignment. You have 2 weeks to complete and turn in the assignment.
 
Day 1
You will be working on a choir journal. Please make sure that you use complete sentences and write an entire full page to receive credit.
 
Why is it important to warm -up every day in choir?  Why is singing with good posture important? Explain and give examples of good posture.
 
6th grade lesson-  Please answer in COMPLETE SENTENCES.  What kind of music do you like to listen to? What is it that you like about this music?  
 
Day 2
 
Explain what the word unison means.  Give at least 2 examples from the music that we are singing of when we are unison and when we are not.
 
6th grade lesson-  Please answer in COMPLETE SENTENCES. How many times can you come across music during the day? Give me some examples. ( radio when you wake up, your ringtone, tv....) 
 
Day 3
Create 5 sets of rhythm 4 measure each, in 4/4 time. For a total of 20 measures. Write in the counts under the rhythm pattern. You may not repeat the same measure.
 
6th grade lesson- Please answer in COMPLETE SENTENCES.  What is your favorite instrument and please explain why it is your favorite instrument. What do you like about it?  Where can you hear this instrument being played?
