Snow Day Lessons

 

*MISS ASHERS' BLIZZARD BAG*

If you have gym on a snow day you will need to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity. Some examples of activity could be...

 1.     Aerobic program on the WII or X-Box (any other exercise video games will do)
 2.     Shoveling snow (30 min burns approx. 236 calories)
 3.     Ice skating (30 min burns approx. 282 calories)
 4.     Playing in the snow/ making snowmen (30 minutes burns approx. 94 calories)
 5.     Cleaning your room (30 min burns approx. 94 calories)
 6.     Exercises (All Grades)

            A. While sitting down keep your feet together and touch your toes.                                                          Remember legs straight and count for 10 seconds.

            B. Feet apart and touch the floor.

            C. Big and Little Arm Circles (Forwards and Backwards).

            D. 10 Sit ups:  Put your feet under the edge of a couch to hold them down.

            E. 20 Jumping Jacks

            F. Run in place for 5 minutes.

 7.     ANY OTHER AEROBIC ACTIVITY FOR 30 MINUTES!!!
