Jada Sutton, the daughter of Jennifer and Seth Sutton, has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at The University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. Jada plans to study Education / Exercise Science while continuing to compete on the Purple Raiders  Cheerleading squad. During her years at Marlington, Jada Sutton was three-year letter-winner on the varsity cheerleading team and a four-year letter-winner on the Competition Cheerleading team. She is an EBC scholar athlete, member of the Marlington Chorale, Duke Street vocal jazz ensemble, Drama Dukes, and National Honor Society. 

 

José Tovar Jr, the son of Adrian and Juana Tovar has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH. José plans to study Graphic Design while continuing to compete in Soccer for the Storm. During his years of playing soccer for the Dukes, he received 1st Team All EBC honors, 2nd Team All Stark County honors, 2nd Team All GASSCA District honors, Best of Stark Preps 1st Team honors, was an EBC Scholar Athlete and named Team MVP. José is a member of Spanish Club and Spanish National Honor Society. 

 

Andrew Pucci, the son of Debra and Craig Pucci, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. Andrew plans to study Business while continuing to compete in Basketball for the Purple Raiders. During his years at Marlington, Andrew was a member of the varsity football, basketball and baseball teams. On the court for the Dukes, Andrew was a second year team captain, three- year varsity letter-winner, earned 1st team all district lV honors, was named the district lV player of the year, earned first team all EBC honors, earned 1st team all-Northeast Inland District, was a Special Mention all-Ohio, a Lake Meyers’ all-YMCA All-Star game selection, a Stark-Summit County All-Star game selection, Ohio North South All-Star game alternate selection and was named team MVP.  Andrew is a member of National Honor Society, on the Dean’s list at Stark State,and an Elks Teen of the month. 

 

Aubyn Boyce, the daughter of Adam and Merrit Boyce, has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. Aubyn plans to study BioChemistry while continuing to compete in Cross Country and Track for the Purple Raiders. During her years at Marlington, Aubyn was a captain and four-year letter-winner on the varsity Cross Country, Swimming and Track teams. As a runner for the Dukes XC team, Aubyn earned three 1st team all-EBC honors, 2nd team all-EBC honors, four  1st team all- Stark County honors, was a four-time individual regional qualifier and member of the state qualifying team. In the pool, Aubyn was a two time district qualifier, and holds three school records with her relay teams. On the lady Dukes track team she earned two 1st  team all-EBC honors, was a two time state qualifier, a district relay winner, a three time regional qualifier, and part of the school record holding  4x400 and 4x800 teams. She is a member of National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

 

Quinten Mottice, the son of Donald and Melani Mottice, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA. Quinten plans to study Biology or Psychology while continuing to compete on the Mercyhurst mens’ soccer team. During his years at Marlington, Quinten was a member of the varsity soccer team earning 2nd team all-EBC honors, honorable mention all-Stark County and honorable mention all-Greater Akron district. He is a member of the Marlington Chorale and an EBC Scholar Athlete.

 

Erica Headley, the daughter of Ray and Theresa Headley  has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. Erica plans to study Business  while continuing to compete on the links for the Lady Pioneers Golf team. During her years at Marlington, Erica was a four-year letter-winner and captain on the state runner-up varsity golf team.  As a lady Duke she received 1st Team all EBC honors all four years, all Northeast Ohio honors and was named the 2018 EBC golfer of the year. She is a member of Art Club, Character Counts Club, the Marlington Chorale, Duchess Voices vocal jazz ensemble, Drama Dukes, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Link Crew, Tri-M Music Honor Society and Youth for Christ. 

 

Morgan Mullaly, the daughter of Curt and Nicole Mullaly has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at Muskingum University in New Concord, OH. Morgan plans to study Athletic Training while continuing to compete on the Muskies womens’ Golf team. During her years at Marlington, she was on the varsity golf and softball teams and participated in the Alliance HS Sports Medicine Career Tech Program. Morgan is a member of the National Honor Society and a three-year EBC scholar athlete. As a golfer for the state runner-up Lady Dukes she received Academic All-Ohio honors two years, was a team captain, received 2nd team all EBC honors her junior year, and Honorable Mention all EBC her senior year. Morgan has also been recognized for golf in the Canton Repository Marlington High School Athletic showcase.

 

Leah Springer, the daughter of Kim and Scott Springer, has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. Leah plans to study Nursing while continuing to compete on the Purple Raiders womens’ basketball team. During her years at Marlington, Leah was captain on the varsity volleyball, basketball and softball teams. As a lady Dukes basketball player, Leah was named as an Alliance Review Athlete of the Week her freshman and senior seasons, earned 2nd Team all-District IV-Div II honors, Honorable Mention all-EBC, and received the team “Whatever It Takes” Award. She is a member of  Character Counts Club, the Marlington Chorale, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, French Club, French National Honor Society, Link Crew, National Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club, and Student Council. She is a class officer and the class of 2020 Victory Bell Ringer and Duke Pound Leader. Leah is a four-year Academic letter-winner, an Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month, Canton Repository Nominee for Teen of the Month, and a Washington Ruritans Rising Senior. 

 

Anthony Sabatino, the son of Todd and Janet Sabatino, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Anthony plans to study Sport Management  while continuing to play Baseball for the Pioneers. During his years at Marlington, Anthony was a captain and four-year letter-winner on both the varsity football and baseball teams. As a football player for the Dukes, he received 1st Team all EBC honors, was named WHBC Team MVP, earned 1st Team All Northeast Inland District, and 3rd Team all-Ohio. On the baseball diamond, he earned 1st Team all EBC, honorable mention all Stark County and was looking forward to his senior season. He is a member of Character Counts Club, Link Crew, National Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club and was recognized as an Elks Student of the Month.

 

Maggie Fellers, the daughter of Robert  and Jodi Fellers,  has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Maggie plans to study Pre-Law while continuing to compete on the Pio’s womens’ volleyball team. During her years at Marlington, Maggie was a four-year letter-winner and two-year captain on the varsity volleyball team. She was an EBC/NBC Scholar Athlete all four years, was named All Stark County DII Player of the Year two years, earned 1st Team All Stark County honors two years, Honorable Mention All-Ohio, was named District IV DII Player of the Year, received District IV DII 1st Team honors, was named to the All Jackson Tournament Volleyball Team, was the 2019 Volleyball EBC Player of the Year,  earned 1st Team all EBC honors, and was a two time Alliance Review Athlete of the Week. She is a member of Character Counts Club, French Club, French National Honor Society, Link Crew, National Honor Society, and Rotary Interact Club.  Maggie will be graduating among the top ten percent of her class,  is a nominee for MaloneUniversity Teen of the Month in The Canton Repository, and was recognized as an Elks Student of the Month.

 

Mason McCarty, the son of John and Brooke McCarty has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. Mason plans to study Mechanical Engineering  while continuing to compete in Wrestling for the Purple Raiders. During his years at Marlington, Mason was a member of the varsity cross country team and a two-year captain and four-year letter-winner on the varsity wrestling team. As a wrestler for the Dukes, Mason earned 1st team all-Stark County honors, 1st team all-EBC honors, was a three time sectional champ and district placer. Mason holds the school records for most career wins, and most wins in a single season.  He is a member of the Engineering career tech program and the class of 2020 Duke Pound Leader. 


Leaha Viscounte, the daughter of Cindy and Steve Viscounte, has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. Leaha plans to study Pre-Law and English while continuing to compete in Cross Country and Track for the Blue Streaks. During her years at Marlington, Leaha was a captain on the varsity Cross Country and Track teams.  She was named an Alliance Review Athlete of the Week, earned 1st team all-EBC honors, 1st team all-NBC honors, 1st team all-Stark County honors,  EBC/NBC Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Ohio. She is a member of Character Counts Club, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Youth for Christ.  Leaha is the senior class president and among the top ten percent of her graduating class.

 

Sierra Thompson, the daughter of Susan Gorgonzola and Jeff Thompson has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. Sierra plans to study Missions and Cross Cultural Ministries while competing on the Pioneers womens’ soccer team. During her years at Marlington, Sierra was a captain on the varsity soccer and basketball teams. She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and Youth for Christ.

Gracie Trummer, the daughter of Lisa and Mitch Trummer,  has committed to continuing her academic and athletic careers at Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. Gracie plans to study Business management  while continuing to compete in JV volleyball for the Cavaliers. During her years at Marlington, Gracie made a positive impact on the JV and varsity volleyball teams and was an EBC scholar athlete. She is a member of the business career tech program, Character Counts Club, Junior Achievement, Link Crew, Rotary Interact Club and Student Council. 

Parker Young, the son of Steve and Kris Young  has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. Parker plans to study Sports Management  while continuing to compete on the Pioneers mens’ track team. During his years at Marlington, he was a member of the varsity soccer and track teams. As a Duke he received the Soccer Coaches Award, was an EBC scholar athlete and earned honorable mention all EBC.  As a two-year captain on the varsity track team he earned 2nd team EBC honors in the 4x4 relay and was looking forward to more success in his senior season.

 

Jeremy Lukens, the son of Rebecca and Erik Lukens, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at Walsh University in North Canton, OH. Jeremy plans to study Biology while continuing to compete on the Cavaliers mens’ tennis team. During his years at Marlington, Jeremy was a strong competitor on the varsity tennis team.  He is a member of the Engineering career tech program and Robotics Club. 

 

Christopher “CJ” Greiner, the son of Chris Greiner and Lisa Stuber, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. CJ plans to study Electrical Engineering  while continuing to compete on the Purple Raiders baseball team. During his years at Marlington, CJ was a captain on the varsity football and baseball teams.  As quarterback for the Dukes, he was named EBC player of the year, was a three-time 1st team all-EBC honoree, received 1st team all-Stark County honors, 2nd team all-Ohio honors and was named team MVP. CJ holds the school record for Total Career Touchdowns Accounted For with 72. On the Dukes baseball team, CJ received 1st team EBC honors, 1st team all-Stark County honors, 2nd team all-Ohio honors, was named the 2019 team MVP and was looking forward to more success in his senior season. He is a member of Link Crew, is an EBC Scholar Athlete and on the Dean’s list at Stark State.
