The office of the Assistant Superintendent has many diverse responsibilities, but the primary focus is the district's curriculum and instruction. The district's Strategic Plan drives the focus and structure for a 21st century learning environment centered around Ohio's Learning Standards, the community's expectation for excellence and commitment to developing life long learners. 
Key components in this process include:
    • A comprehensive pre-K through 12 curriculum focused on evidence-based best practice strategies for teaching and learning

    • Technology Integration with 1:1 Apple iPads or MacBooks in grades  5-12

    • STEM Curriculum including PLTW, GTT and STEAM

    • Blended Learning Framework

    • Balanced Literacy Framework through Daily 5 and Daily 3

    • Evidence Based Interventions

    • Local, State and Federal programs
