Grades in First Grade are "Standards Based".  This means that grades are given for performance on work that is assessing one or more of the Ohio State Standards.  Your child will receive one of the following on their report card each 9 weeks:

                                                                                   ME = Mastery of the standard

                                                                    PR = Progressing toward mastery

                                                                    NY = Not yet able to master the standard 

Students will recieve these markings for Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Art at the end of the second and fourth 9 weeks grading periods.
