Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Washington Elementary School! I speak for the entire staff when I say that we are extremely proud of our students, families, and community, and we look forward to an outstanding year. These are interesting times, but our mission continues to be one that provides each students the means to reach his or her potential. By working together to meet the needs of EVERY child, we provide rigorous lessons and instruction, thus growing EVERY child and preparing them to be knowledgeable and independent decision makers. Together we will bring out the greatness in ALL of our students. They will become kind, confident, contributing, responsible, and well-rounded individuals.

As with all Marlington Local Schools, Washington Elementary strives to provide students opportunities to grow as students and leaders. Many school-wide programs give our students the chance to be the best they can be, including Guys with Ties, G.I.R.L.S. Group, Student Council, Student of the Month, Dynamite Dukes and the STEAM Club.

Washington Elementary thrives through our fantastic PTO program and volunteer network. Our devoted parents and community members work together to provide extraordinary experiences for our students. Some of these experiences include classroom parties, fun family outings, and other extracurricular celebrations.

At Washington Elementary, we care and believe that ALL students can learn and be successful. With this goal inspiring all that we do, Washington will continue to provide the building blocks of an outstanding education.

With this being my first year at Washington Elementary, I look forward to an outstanding year of academic excellence, individual growth, and rewarding accomplishments.
