Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Nick Modney and I will be the choir director at Marlington High School this year! I cannot wait to really dive in to the music with every ensemble and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you over the next year! I couldn't be more excited to be a part of the amazing staff here at Marlington.
This is my first year here at Marlington High School. I previously taught at Waterloo Local Schools as their general music and choir teacher, Lake Local Schools as their general music and choir teacher, and Mogadore Local Schools as their general music and choir teacher (sense a pattern here?) I graduated from Revere High School in 2010, earned my Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory in 2014, and earned my Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Akron in 2018. I have a cat named Captain and I love everything about music and singing, but also anything tech related, movies and tv, and anything to do with cars.
As we move through the year, there is always the possibility of things changing in an instant. I hope the changes are not drastic, but we never know. Thank you to both students and parents for being patient, flexible, and open to any changes that may occur! I am looking forward to expanding knowledge of choral music throughout all of the choirs and having a lot of fun as well!
