My name is Shelly McAlister.

This is my 13th year at Marlington.

I currently teach Spanish I, Spanish III/IV and Spanish CCP at Marlington High School and Marlington Middle School.

I first discovered my love of language, travel, and culture right here as a freshman at Marlington High School. I earned a BA in Spanish and French from Miami University and went on to earn a master’s degree in translation and interpretation from the Universidad de Granada in Spain. I lived and studied abroad for nearly three years in Chile, France, Costa Rica, and Spain.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and my passion for language and culture with my classes. We will work hard, but it’s my goal to make this year an enjoyable and educational experience for my students.

One binder or folder with pockets dedicated solely to Mrs. McAlister’s class
Pen or pencil
Dry erase marker (we do a lot of white board work in class)
iPad (fully charged)
